WHY WE PLAY
We believe the creation and expression of music is the portal to all things good and beautiful in the world. Our sole (and soul) purpose is to offer a lasting, life-changing experience for musicians and music lovers alike.
WHY DO YOU?
Welcome to the Crown, where you will get to the heart of why you play. For a week every August, we invite world-renowned musicians from across the country to work and play with us. As a participant you will live with them, learn from them, play live in front of hundreds of people with them, and jam until the early morning hours with them. Whether you're a beginner or a professional we have workshops to fit your interests, expand your abilities, and quite possibly change the way you play forever.
“I play because the guitar lets me be a part of that soulful feeling.”

ABOUT THE CROWN
Workshops & Faculty
We offer a range of workshops that are taught by our professional Faculty with the support of our Artists-In-Residence. With classes for all levels and genres, it's the perfect opportunity to take your playing to the next level in a non-competitive, supportive environment where the focus is on your own interests and personal goals.
Each year we invite 12-14 world class, professional artists to work and play with us at the Crown. They support the faculty in the workshops as well as work independently with students, perform on the Main Stage and jam until the wee hours. When will you get another chance to play with your heroes?
Festival performances are public and performed every night of the week by participants, faculty and artists-in-residence in an intimate setting on the lake at the 4-star Flathead Lake Lodge. As a festival-goer you can purchase tickets or passes and enjoy our spectacular, world class shows any (or every!) night of the festival week.
